“Written for Teens, but Interesting for Adults Also.”

Sliding Beneath the Surface

Sliding Beneath the Surface. Paranromal & Historical. The St. Augustine Trilogy: Book I.

A review placed on Amazon by Not the boss.

“This was an entertaining book.

“The book basically was in the paranormal genre, which is a genre I’ve never cared for. However, I share the author’s love of history, and I’ve always intended to visit St. Augustine, which was the setting of the book.

“The author’s style was breezy and made the book easy to read.

“The book featured teenage characters and was intended for a young audience, but I still enjoyed it even at my advanced age.

“The best thing about the book was the author’s understanding of teenagers.

“It’s easy to become annoyed with teenagers, so I think the author’s genuine concern for teens and his understanding of the problems teens face in controlling their emotions was very refreshing.

“When reading the author’s short bio at the end of the Kindle version, the basis for his understanding approach was explained. He taught history to teens for years and also spent time working with troubled teens.

“I believe those were some lucky teens. I’m going to buy the next book in this series as soon as I post this review and also move St. Augustine up on my list of places to play tourist.”
